Journey from WBWA b4biz to b4b Confederation

WBWA as part of its socio-economic activities launched the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) for Brahmins in 2017, marking the beginning of a transformative journey. What started as a modest initiative gained momentum & soon turned into a movement, attracting nearly 350 participants who walked into it over two years.

Among them were bright-eyed aspirants dreaming of starting their first business. But there was something else which was unexpected — a diverse group comprising aspiring entrepreneurs eager to launch their ventures and seasoned micro-entrepreneurs running small businesses, all driven by a shared desire for knowledge and growth. These were people already running small businesses, yet they came with the same curiosity, to learn, and the desire to grow.

A pivotal realisation emerged:

And that is when WBWA discovered something powerful. These small entrepreneurs weren’t just looking for capital — they were looking for knowledge and connect. This epiphany sowed the seeds for a dynamic platform where entrepreneurs of every size – from dreamers to doers could converge, share knowledge, and support one another. These entrepreneurs weren’t seeking financial backing alone; they craved for insights, trends, and connections to propel their businesses forward. And that is where the bigger vision of a forum happened. Thus, WBWA b4bIz was born in 2018, offering regular monthly meetings featuring networking sessions and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Key Highlights:

Expansion: Chapters apart from Chennai launched in Coimbatore (2019), Trichy (2025), and Bangalore (2025), with plans underway for Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Pondicherry chapters.
Membership: Over 1,000 members, with all actively engaged in WhatsApp groups, fostering a vibrant community.
Functionality: Operating akin to a chamber of commerce, providing a supportive ecosystem for all types of entrepreneurs.

As per the well-known Adage – “Coming together is a Beginning; Keeping together is Progress; Working together is Success.” By fostering a spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing, b4b Confederation empowers Brahmin entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of the business world and achieve their goals.
